Devising technology that could probe into a person’s deeply buried sexual fantasies was a new area of study for Reed Richards, but he tackled it with the same genius that had allowed him to create some of the most incredible inventions the world had ever seen. He told himself that this technology could be of great benefit in psychotherapy, and that was certainly true, but the real reason was that he was incredibly excited and aroused at the possible secrets he’d discover about his beloved wife.
In no time, he’d developed certain algorithms that could analyze a person’s brain pattern, cross referencing their waking thoughts with the mental activity that occurred during REM sleep periods, and after analyzing the data, he was able to pick through it and isolate the mental activity that centered around the sex drive and deepest subconscious. With this, it would be simple to scan anyone’s mind and detect their innermost sexual fantasies and desires. Calling up Sue’s brain patterns, he ran it through the analyzer and sat back with folded arms as he drank in the fascinating results.
It confirmed conclusively that Sue secretly yearned to dress in a way that was almost the direct opposite of the way the world at large perceived her. Instead of conservative clothing in pastel shades, she wanted to wear latex, leather, PVC. Instead of loose clothing, she wanted garments that clung to her like a second skin and left little to the imagination. Contrary to the belief that a woman should not be a sex object, she wanted to be a walking wet dream and object of lust for all who saw her. What better way to indulge these desires than being a stripper?
But her desires went further than fetishism and exhibitionism. She also yearned for sex that was savage, violent, rough. And she wanted sex with multiple partners. In fact, as far as Reed could see, the thought of sex with someone other than her husband was something that spiked very highly on the graph of her desires! As far as Reed knew, she had yet to give in to this urge in her guise as ‘Suzanne’, but now he had to wonder.
He also noted that different kinds of sex also intrigued her. She and Reed had never indulged in anything more daring than doggy style sex, and Reed had never been keen on that. He much preferred to gaze into her face as they made gentle love. I fact, now he thought of it, it had always been her suggestion that they try the doggy style position. Was this so that she could fantasize about other men while they rutted like beasts? But the data showed that Sue wanted to go further than this. She wanted anal sex. The taboo desire to have a hard male member penetrate her anus was another large spike on her graph!
There were yet more layers of data he had not yet analysed, but Reed had plenty to consider for the time being. Hints at a desire for sexual dominance and possible leanings towards sado-masochism that Reed was hesitant to explore further. Should one person have this sort of knowledge of another, especially of his own wife?
On the other hand, it occurred to him that this technology could be of great practical use in the detection of potential sex predators, but would have to be used with great care. Everyone had secret desires, but that didn’t mean they would act upon them. However, Sue was a perfect specimen for study because she HAD chosen to act on those secret desires. The perception filter had given her the perfect means of assuming an identity that could allow her to indulge those fantasies without fear of discovery, or so she had thought. Perhaps she would give him the key to understanding the crucial difference between repressing an urge and giving in to it.
Of course, taking on the identity of a fetishist and stripper was a fairly harmless activity. He was 98% sure that she would never indulge in any activity that would violate her moral code in a more serious way, like breaking the law or harming anyone. But here was the perfect chance to put that to the test.
It would only take one small step to adjust the technology so that as well as analyzing the subconscious data, it could make alterations. That way, a person’s secret desires could be “edited” or changed altogether. One could essentially cancel out a person’s perversions. Or alternatively, one could add to them. It would be relatively simple to devise a menu of desires and perversions and embed them in a person’s psyche.
Reed realized that this must be very similar to the technology that Psycho-Man had used to warp Sue into the Malice persona some years back, and he now he saw that this had been made easier by the fact that Sue’s psyche already had certain leanings towards sado-masochism and dominance. Another possible benefit of this technology could be the creation of devices that could defend a person from just this kind of manipulation.
So many avenues to explore! Which would Reed follow first?
