Ariel munched the... what were they called again?  Candies?  Whatever they were, they were delicious, in fact it was pretty clear as she kept reaching for them that she was eating more than any of the others were, and the results were showing.  Her skin was tinting purple, as her legs had not only merged back to that of a fish tail but the scales had began to look dark and rotting.

Her increased consumption began to affect her weight, as she became more plump, nothing that rose to the level of Ursula, but certainly more pudgy and hourglassy than she'd been before.

Her tail felt funny, as if it was too motionless... too singular, as suddenly the scales split open to fall off and reveal tentacles in place of legs.  She carried a slight odor of dead fish with her as she burped a bit, before feeling an evil chuckle forming.  Ariel laughed slower than she ever had before... "Aha... ahaha... ahahaha," she said.

"I feel marvelous," she said to her fellow Princess Monsters.
