The hostless symbiote had been lurking the streets of NYC for days since Brock's death, searching for a suitable host when he ran across Peter Parker in his Spider-man costume crawling the wall of a back alley. A grin appeared on its fanged face as the opportunity of re-bonding with his former host.

"Sooonn" thought the symbiote as it slithered its way to his new unwilling host.

Peter, still in his costume was walking back home using a shortcut and was about to put his clothes on when he suddenly felt a cold sticky, wet liquid climbing up his leg. He looked down to see the symbiote slowly but surely trying to rebond with him.

"GET IT OFF OF ME!!!" Peter yelled. The symbiote quickly carried its whole mass over towards him and started covering his body.

Peter was rendered incapable of moving as the symbiote quickly coated his right arm. Peter could feel the tar-like substance compressing it, as if it were to destroy his arm only with pressure. An immense feeling of pain overtook him, as he started to distinguish his hand under the symbiote shifting and morphing into a more vicious looking version with sharp-looking claws at the end of each finger. With his left hand, instinctively, he tried to do his best in order to remove the symbiote from his right one... a terrible mistake, as the symbiote used this to quickly jump from his right hand to his left, and to completely cover it too.

The rest of the symbiote moved from the soles of his shoes upwards and dissolved his clothes in its biomass, creating extra layers of thick muscles that coated Peter's whole body and swell off his small frame.

Fighting it was impossible, and resisting it was completely futile at this moment. The symbiote had already covered his whole body, minus the head. His feet and his fingers now ended on vicious claws.

Just when he couldn't take it anymore and was on the brink of unconsciousness, a small tendril headed toward Peter's ear. Barely able to prevent it, Peter just let himself go, as everything faded to black....

...Yet, he was still conscious, somehow. Peter barely could feel his body, his head, or his eyes, as for some reason he was staring into a white void. He knew for some reason that he was staring at his own mind, as he suddenly spotted a dark presence starting to cover the white emptiness that was his mind.

"Joooin us.... Peter...." A deep, alien voice said "Join us, for us to become one..."

"No... Let me go you monster!!!"  Peter yelled at the creature.

"Give into us. Let us animate the venom inside you. Give into us." whispered the symbiote

"Get out of my mind !!!” Peter screamed,

“You want us, Peter.... we can see inside your mind.... you feel incomplete...” The alien voice said to him, making Peter feel more and more relaxed, and diminishing his resistance. “We can make you whole.... you will not be alone anymore, but part of something greater than yourself....”

"N... No... L... Leave me..."!!” Peter begged.

“You don't want us to leave, you want us to stay....” The symbiote said.

“I... don't.... I... I want... I want to stay... forever...” Peter babbled out, his eyes becoming more and more glassy, as if they were losing focus.

In a brief second, Peter lived all their memories and experiences: Eddie Brock fighting against him, Mac Gargan killing a security guard...

"Yes.... they.... didn't deserve this..." Peter replied, overcame with the sensations the symbiote was providing him.

"WE CAN BRING YOU POWER... WE WONT BE NEEDING ANYONE ELSE" the alien presence insisted.

Unbridled power surged through Peter's body who enjoyed every second of it.

“We are going to fuse, and become one and the same....”

“One... and the same...” repeated Peter after the alien presence, as his consciousness fused with the symbiote's.

Peter's head distorted chaotically, a pair of white featureless patches appeared where the eyes should be, the nose shrunk away and a ghastly rictus of long razor sharp teeth stretched across the face. A long whip-like tongue lolled out of the creature's mouth which had begun to drip with thick saliva, it licked the air rapturously and its fanged grin became wider as it spoke in a distorted voice:

“PETER AND THE SYMBIOTE ARE NO MORE, THERE IS ONLY VENOM!"
