Dick relaxed watching the news. Another Marvel cinematic movie, another record box-office for Disney Studios. Another day, another spread of hit pieces from the new channels. It was dismally predictive at this point. Dick turned off the TV and went back to CCTV coverage of Bluddhaven. It was a silent night, relatively speaking. Clark was off world so a lot of people were trying to move in on Metropolis. Steel and Power Girl were covering so the rogues were going nowhere. In the meantime, Dick was board. Sure there was a mugging an earlier, but a deli owner had broken it up with a broom.
Nightwing had been on patrol for hours and nothing had happened so Dick was hanging out eating a pizza and watching for trouble in town.
His phone dinged. It was the special one Fox had personally given him with the upgrades not in normal Wayne-tech Obsidian series phones. Dick saw that an app was being pushed to him. Considering the short list of people who could push an app to him, he opened the system. It was something called the Harem App.
“Are you shitting me?” Dick asked the phone’s screen, “Who in the hell sends me a joke like this?”
It was at that moment he remembered the fight he had had with Babs, two days ago. She chewed him out for Raven and Starfire crashing at his place, drunk and naked. It was either her or Tim, poking him over that. Dick went ahead tapped the ok so the app installed. There was no way anyone could put something malicious on this private network.
“Let’s fight,” Dick smiled, “Queen Elsa vs Spidergwen, fight!”
Dick grabbed his other phone and brought up the fan made mobile game. It gave players the option to play Disney, Marvel, Star Wars, Star Trek or Lord of the Rings characters. It had been a big hit down at the PD, and it was good for a few laughs. There was a rumor that the programmers were planning on adding some of the real world costumed characters like the Justice League or Legion of Doom. Dick thought for a second, having Barbara in her Batgirl outfit do a mud wrestling match with Starfire would be awesome to watch, but it would never happen in real life. At least not without Dick getting the shit beaten out of him afterwards. He brought up the fighting game and selected the Slave Elsa cosplay cutie and waited for the single player fight to start.
He kept his ears open and one eye on the CCTVs while he watched the digital girls fight. A smile crept across his face as his Elsa punted the Spider Gwen in the crotch with her blue boot and then used the fabric of the loin cloth to choke the Comic Book girl.
When the game signaled “K.O.” the secure phone pinged. Dick saved and put down the one phone and grabbed the secure phone. The program announced that it offered the chance for the user to have any version of anyone as a lover in a harem. The short tutorial tells him how to search for fictional or real people and how to enlist them. It briefly covers the outfit shop and the Sexy Points system. Well he could buy points with real money or earn them with in app actions. It briefly talked about achievements.
“So I can have a virtual harem with anyone I want,” Dick said, “I wonder who I should choose first…”
Dick started searching. He wondered how much effort Tim or Barbara would have put into it. He brought up Barbara Gordon. It had different versions of Barbara, Batgirl, a green lantern, and a series of Harley Quinn fangirls. Dick arched an eyebrow. He then did a search on himself, and it had a lot of different versions of him, including female versions.
“Have my rule 63 as a virtual lover,” Dick gave a nervous chuckle, “Like that doesn’t scream Narcissism.”
Dick closed that search and thought for a minute. He opened a new search.
“Well I might as well get yelled at for something I did,” Dick thought about which virtual lady to download.
