The entire infirmary stared at Kitty Pryde. Nothing happened. Everyone gasped when she sneezed again.
“Well, you’re all …” Logan started but was kicked a furry Night Crawler.
After a minute Hope drew a blood sample for Beast, after he looked at it under the micro-scope he rubbed his eyes.
“It WORKED!” Beast exclaimed before coughing up a lung.
“But she’s still…” Rogue started before starting to vomit again.
“Of course, the cure… Ah-coo,” Beast blew his nose, “The Cure denatured the mutagenic proteins, it she will not mutate any further. (Cough) But the cold has to run its course and her body should start regressing along a natural healing process.”
“So?” Hope asked.
“I give her about a week,” Logan shrugged, “That’s how long it took for her to clear up the rash from the Hive incident.”
The older X-men all looked away and groaned at that memory, Hope and the new students all had a puzzled look on their faces.
“Hay, can anyone tell me why my roommates are blue cat girls?” Laura Kinney shouted as she entered the room with one in a headlock under each arm, “And why they were having an erotic catfight while I was napping?”
“Sie schliefen?“ Night Crawler asked.
"What?“ was the collective response.
"You were asleep?“ Night Crawler stifled a sneeze.
"I might be able to regerate a head in two minutes, but it takes me more then twelve hours to get back after a hundred and thriteen hour stake out on Hulk head’s new evil lair,“ Laura snapped.
"It seems that everyone will have to get the blue kitten pox before we get this all sorted out,“ Hope sighed, „Then spend a week as a kitty before they are all better.“
In the back they all heard Rogue wrenching into her bucket.
"Damn it, how does she still have anything to throw up?“ Logan snapped.
