The shimmer of the dimensional portal died down as an armored figure stepped out into the dirt-strewn alleyway. The identity or even gender of the masked traveler was impossible to discern, so for now we will simply refer to them by the name they had taken for themselves - "The Fuser". The figure drew a weird gun from the holster at their side and checked so that the delicate mechanism had not been damaged during the interdimensional trip. The gun hummed with power and all displays seemed normal.The Fuser smiled under their helmet. They had discovered the basis for this device only recently and were eager to test it out... regardless of how willing or unwilling the subject(s) were. The gun possessed the power to merge two beings into one with no ill effects, combining the personalities and traits of the individuals into a seamless gestalt whole. Of course the Fuser had not been fully content to leave things to chance, so the gun also had some settings which might affect the outcome. One would make the new fusion docile and obedient towards the Fuser, something which might be handy to gain powerful servants. Another dial allowed the Fuser to control the gender of the fusion into either male, female or a neuter, regardless of the components. A third switch gave the gestalt more or less libido.With this device, the Fuser could change the powerful inhabitants of this universe into whatever they wanted. The masked villain chuckled at the thought of the havoc they could unleash. Holstering the fusion-gun, they withdrew a small scanner and examined it.
